EDI is computer-to-computer direct transfer of standard business documents through electronic media between the firms. The EDI helps in Just-in-Time production and continuous production because of automation of internal processes. EDI helps for enhanced corporate image and better relation with the trading partners by reducing lead-time and improving information sharing.
Intranet is an Internet like network inside an organization. It is a corporate LAN or wide area network (WAN) that uses Internet technology and is secured behind company’s firewalls.[2].
